Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology



Oral Medicine has generally been defined as that discipline within dentistry which deals with the diagnosis and essentially non-surgical treatment of disease of the oral cavity and the oral manifestations of systemic disease. Oral medicine provides optimal health to all people through gathering relevant medical and dental information by scientific methods for diagnostic and medical management of oral diseases.

The department of oral medicine and radiology is the threshold to dentistry for all patients. The department also takes responsibility for the dental management of medically compromised patients.

The department has a separate radiology section with advanced diagnostic aids such as digital OPG, RVG, and Extra Oral X-ray unit. Patient management is done through a system of computerized records.

Department of The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery



TOral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a sphere of medicine and dentistry focused on the diagnosis, surgical treatments, management of diseases and disorders of face and jaws including different aspects of hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region. The course is designed to meet the understanding and working requirements of oral surgery. Faculty provides in-depth knowledge about the oral problems ranging from the removal of impacted teeth to management of facial trauma. VG, and Extra Oral X-ray unit. Patient management is done through a system of computerized records.

Department of Oral Pathology



Oral Pathology is the Specialty of dentistry that deals with nature, identification, and management of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions.

It is a science that investigates the causes, processes, and efforts of these diseases. The practice of oral pathology includes research and diagnosis of diseases using clinical, radiographic, microscopic, biochemical, or other examinations.

Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology is one of nine dental specialties recognized by the Dental Council of India that focuses on the diagnosis, Clinical management and Investigation of diseases that affect the oral cavity and surrounding maxillofacial structures including but not limited to odontogenic, infectious, epithelial, salivary gland, bone and soft tissue pathologies.

Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics



The Department of Conservative dentistry & Endodontics is concerned with the preservation of the natural dentition. Conservative dentistry aims in the treatment of diseases affecting the hard tissues of the teeth. These mainly include diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental caries, discolorations, and malformations, aesthetic corrections of the teeth thus enhancing the full form and functioning of the teeth.

Endodontics deals with the diseases of the pulp and periapical tissues, apart from the root canal treatment of all the teeth, focusing on the treatment of failed root canal treatment, endodontic surgeries.

Department of Prosthodontics



Prosthodontics is a discipline in dentistry pertaining to the restoration of oral function, comfort, appearance, and health by restoring natural teeth and replacing missing teeth and oral and maxillofacial tissues. The replacement of missing teeth and associated structures due to congenital reasons or due to disease, surgery, aging or accident is also done in the department.. Through dental prosthesis, not only are the teeth replaced, but also form and function of surrounding areas such as lips and cheeks are restored.

The department is well equipped with the latest laboratory equipment such as an all-ceramic furnace, anatomical articulators, to replace everything from a single tooth to the complete set, special procedures include dental implantology and maxillofacial prosthesis.

Department of Periodontics


The Department of Periodontology is engaged in the treatment of problems associated with the gums and poor dental hygiene. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art dental diagnostic and surgical facilities. Modern dental chairs, ultra-sonic scalers, enabling superior patient care.

The department manages the various patients by diagnosis and treatment of gingivitis and include the techniques and procedures to treat soft tissue inflammation, function & appearance in an aesthetically pleasing manner with as little loss of healthy soft tissue as possible. It also involves performing scaling, root planning, curettage, and associated surgical procedures such as abscess drainage, gingivectomy & flap surgeries, and to save the tooth in its position.

Department of Pedodontics


Focussed on good dental hygiene in children, the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive dentistry aims to do this through a combination of professionally applied and self-applied fluorides, deplaning procedures, and placement of occlusal sealants.

The objective is to prevent dental caries, gingivitis, and periodontal diseases. The Department also treats habitual problems and developing malocclusions.

This branch basically deals with specialized dental treatment for children primary teeth and young permanent teeth, comprising of restoration of diseased teeth, thus conserving remaining tooth structure and preserving the natural dentition and appropriate space for permanent teeth to erupt, as well as other treatment modalities like Endodontic management, Prosthetic management, Preventive & Interceptive Orthodontic treatments and many more. This branch also provides the finest of dental treatment to mentally or/and physically disabled children also.

Department of Orthodontics


The Department of Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics specializes in the correction of defects in the jaws and teeth through the use of various removable and fixed appliances. Treatment takes the form of pre-adjusted edgewise appliances, lingual appliances, ceramic braces, myofunctional appliances, clear aligners, surgical orthodontics and micro implant-based orthodontics.

Department works under optimal supervision by well-qualified staff. The department is equipped with all the necessary equipment required for Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics procedures. Basic & specialized procedures are performed on college out-patients. Along with this, there is encouragement and promotion of innovative research and publication.

Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry


The vision of the Public Health Dentistry department is to protect, promote, and advance the health and safety of the public.

Orientation of the students about the profession of dentistry, its development, philosophies and activities related to the community oral health promotion. Advancement through quality research and education in oral disease prevention and health promotion. Community service with a focus on children and the underprivileged population.
